The President of the Republic of Estonia, Alar Karis, together with a Business Delegation, met with the President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, the Speaker of Parliament, José Pedro Aguiar Branco, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Paulo Rangel, and the Mayor of Lisbon, Carlos Moedas.
Portugal–Estonia Business Forum brought together companies and decision-makers from both countries to explore new cooperation opportunities.
The forum was opened by President Alar Karis and President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, who highlighted the role of business diplomacy in strengthening bilateral relations and national competitiveness. During the visit, the Presidents also visited Estonian company Bolt.
Estonia’s Ambassador to Portugal, Moonika Kase, emphasised that a Business Forum is not an end in itself, but a platform for building lasting partnerships.
A strong example of this is Tiptiptap, which has worked with a Portuguese partner for over two years and has already delivered 115 playgrounds across Portugal. “Establishing direct contact with the Mayor of Lisbon proved particularly valuable,” noted CEO Rasmus Varunov.
Our sincere appreciation to the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Merit Fimberg-Espuch for curating such a thoughtful and impactful business programme, and to the Embassy of Estonia and Moonika Kase Ambassador of Estonia in Portugal for the exceptional hospitality and support throughout the visit.
We value these moments deeply, when conversations turn into relationships and when Estonia’s innovative mindset resonates so strongly beyond our borders.
